Too Much Awesome: Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7...
This may be a dumb thing to bother me, but Alexa and I are finally playing through Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, and we get to a part where you get to play as the young Marauders (James, Sirius and Lupin).
Sirius and Lupin both have their transformations. Lupin can change into a werewolf, Sirius into a dog… but James lacks the ability to transform into a stag.
I mean, yeah, I can’t imagine a stag really being that useful in this instance, but why not include it just for fun? For those of us who are fans of the series?!
There are several other things here and there that they leave out, but that little detail just stuck out to me. It just would have been cool if they had included it.
Alright. Well… That was my “this is something stupid that doesn’t deserve a legitimate complaint but I’m going to complain about it anyway” of the day.
Edit: By the way, if you enjoy Harry Potter and fun, easy video games… Lego Harry Potter (both games) are a blast. They’re a fun and simple way of enjoying the stories.
I recommend them. :)
As much as I’m absolutely obsessed with the games, I really missed James’s animagus form as well. It made me sad. It also made me wonder if McGonagall can change into a cat…
Daily Downton: Dame Maggie poised to end her acid reign at Downton Abbey after third series
Dame Maggie Smith is preparing to deliver her final acid put-down as the Dowager Countess in Downton Abbey.
She has told writer Julian Fellowes she wants the third series to be her last, although he has persuaded her to do the Christmas special.
The ITV drama, which is…

“The thing that finally pushes The Hunger Games over the top is the performance by Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, and finally, here’s a pop culture phenomenon centered around a female character who I can fully endorse, who manages real strength without simply being a female version of a male character. She is strong, she is capable, she is emotional, and she is human, and the script, adapted by Ross and Billy Ray, allows Katniss all of her rough edges, and Lawrence invests her with a rich inner life that makes her feel real. It is a pure movie star performance, and Lawrence rises to the occasion.” [x]
JLaw was the perfect Katniss. She deserves an award. I love that she comes from my hometown. I also love watching her in interviews. She’s so adorable, hilarious, and down-to-earth. Can’t wait to see her portray Katniss in the rest of the movies. Perfect casting choice.
